I Dub Thee Patchy

So this morning on my way to work I stopped at CVS and bought this:



While I wear this patch 21mg of nicotine will be "delivered" (their word not mine) into my system over a period of 24 hours. I'll take this "Step 1" patch for six weeks (!!!) and then switch over to this little bad boy:



Which I will use for two weeks and then as I barrel down the home stretch I'll finally work my way through the aptly named "Step 3":



All in all this is a ten week long thing. I did not know this. But now I do. These things do not come cheap either, if I continue to buy them at CVS I'll end up spending somewhere around $250. Wow. That kind of sucks. Of course the amount I spend on cigarettes is probably comparable. In the long run it's worth it to drop this money on the patch if it means I won't be smoking and spending nearly $20 a week on cigarettes.

I'll update later tonight with some initial impressions on the patch (like how it's oddly warm to the touch).

I feel good though. I'm on a roll.
